ABOUT US
PLATFORM 36 is an independent collective and platform dedicated to supporting the next generation of photographers and photojournalists, especially those from overlooked or marginalized communities. Named after the traditional 36 exposures on a roll of film, Platform 36 symbolizes creative potential, storytelling power, and the belief that every frame matters. We exist to nurture visual storytellers by offering space, mentorship, and visibility: helping them develop their voices and share their truths with the world.

ONGOING PROJECTS
For Myanmar, in times like these dark days under a harsh system, when we meet each other, we often ask, “How are you?” .. By this we want to know, Are you healthy? Are you getting by financially? Are your loved ones well?
Even though asking “How are you?” may seem small, it can make a world of difference. For the person being asked, it says: Someone cares about me. Someone is wondering if I'm okay. I'm not alone.
That very spirit is what inspired us to start this project called “Hi, how are you?”
Despite the many hardships around us, we want to continue sharing love. We want to save as many lives as we can. We want to work together for education and for the well-being of children. We are not alone .. we have each other. We care. And we will love more deeply.
This “Hi, how are you?” project will keep you updated right here on this page.. what we’re doing, how the resources and donations are being used, and how we’re making a difference together.
